  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • 500 g lean beef mince
  • 1 packet Continental Recipe Base Chilli Con Carne
  • 400 g canned diced tomatoes
  • 400 g canned red kidney beans
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) water
  • 1 packet taco shells, warmed
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 avocado, mashed
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Chilli Con Carne Tacos
  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add mince and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes until browned.

  2. Add recipe base, tomatoes, kidney beans and water, stir to combine. Bring to the boil, stirring. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes.

  3. Place the Chilli Con Carne mixture, lettuce, tomato, avocado and sour cream into serving bowls and place onto the table, then the whole family can build their own tacos to eat & enjoy!
